Locked away in his attic, Jack is making epic decisions about his future. This is the story of an ordinary boy determined to be an extraordinary man.

To develop the piece, two theatre makers undertook a year long period of competition with each other out in the real world. Applying for the same jobs, joining the same dating websites, entering cooking contests etc. Once they even walked the streets with placards reading "who do you think is nicer, me or him?" to find out where they stood.

This is an explosive dance theatre experiment featuring two non-dancers who use storytelling, sound and movement to expand the space and activate the imagination.

RUT is the 20th Edinburgh Fringe production directed by Rich Rusk who is also currently working with internationally acclaimed Gecko Theatre (The Overcoat, Missing).
